A Quick Summary…

The final book in the Osseous Chronicles picks up right where The Blood Witch left off, with Lennox dying and waking up in a morgue. As she and Rogan confront their feelings, they must figure out how to battle the High Council as well as a certain demon before it’s too late. This is a contemporary urban fantasy that’s hilarious, fast-paced, and witty 🦋.

Our thoughts…

Ivy Asher DELIVERED with the Bound Witch. It was everything we hoped the last book would be and while we were sad to see it end we loved the journey. Even though this was a fairly short book (all the others in the series are too) SO MUCH happened. We were overall satisfied with the ending but as we said because we love the world we would read more, and we’re hoping for some possible spinoffs 👀. The other two books in the series are extremely slow burn, but The Bound Witch brought the SPICE hot dayum ❤️‍🔥. Also a random comment but we loved that they didn’t call each other baby (that’s so common in contemporary romance books 🙄). We did wish there was a bit more full circle stuff (the animals, Cohen’s relationship with the ghost girl, did Prek get his name cleared?) but we were still very much satisfied. Rogan was SO CUTE and his communication was on point. In the other books he really struggled with his feelings but in The Bound Witch he really steps up his game, and we loved seeing other more gentle sides to him 🥺. Lennox and Rogan’s relationship was sweet but hot and we loved their growth together through the series.

As always with Ivy Asher’s books, there were way too many hilarious moments to even count 🤣. She has an ability to make serious situations funny without it feeling out of place. Lennox is a bad ass bitch, and she’s also one of the funniest female MC’s we’ve read. We just love to read her as a character because she talks and thinks like we do and that makes it so relatable. We really love the magic in this world, and this is the first series that’s fully made us wanna be witches 🧙‍♀️. Both of us truly didn’t know how it would all be resolved so it kept us intrigued. The ending was quite different to other books, and while there wasn't a huge fight sequence, the ending was unique and still satisfying. This is one of our favorite urban fantasy series and we’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a fast paced, hilarious, and well written read!

“Rogan drinks me down like I’m everything he needs to survive, and I claim him just as greedily.”

“I just might love you more than your coffee maker,”

“But don’t you dare forget who I am to you and the kind of treatment and respect that deserves,”

“It sounds like you’ve been spending too much time at the bookstore,” Rogan teases, and I scoff in dramatic outrage. “There is no such thing as spending too much time at a bookstore. How dare you, sir!”
